Community Guidelines
Last updated 2 August 2026
These guidelines are being finalised ahead of the app's launch. They set the standard for reviews and any community contributions in DineHop Restaurant Finder.
DineHop Restaurant Finder helps people find great places to eat. Reviews and ratings are most useful when they're honest, relevant and safe for everyone. The following are not allowed:
- Threats or violence: threatening, inciting or glorifying violence.
- Harassment or bullying: targeting, intimidating or demeaning a person.
- Hate or discrimination: attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age.
- Sexually explicit content.
- Illegal content: anything that promotes or facilitates illegal activity.
- Spam: repetitive, irrelevant or promotional content.
- Fake reviews: content that doesn't reflect a genuine experience.
- Sharing private information: someone else's contact details, address or other private data.
- Off-topic content: reviews that aren't about the place being reviewed.
- Impersonation: pretending to be another person or business.
- Manipulated or fraudulent ratings: coordinating, incentivising or faking ratings to distort a place's score.
Enforcement
Content that breaks these guidelines may be removed. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to further action. As community features are introduced, you'll be able to report anything that breaks these guidelines, and reports are reviewed by a person.
